Fruit trees are a long-term investment, but can feel overwhelming at first. When you book a session I come to your garden so we can work side-by-side, pruning your fruit trees while I coach you in this fulfilling heritage skill.

At your session you will learn when and how to prune, key types of cuts, and my tried and true decision process to help ease decision fatigue and paralysis.

You’ll also learn how to assess goals and health, choose corrective vs. maintenance cuts, manage structure and vigor, and avoid common mistakes. Whether espalier, a new family orchard, or reviving a heritage specimen, you’ll learn the art and science of fruit tree pruning.
